The ultra large coiled tube heat exchanger of Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical's propane dehydrogenation unit has an inner diameter of 6.1 meters, a total length of about 28 meters, and a total metal weight of 850 tons. It is currently the heaviest, largest in diameter, longest in length, largest in heat exchange area, highest in technical requirements, most precise in welding process, and most difficult to manufacture three-dimensional and efficient coiled tube heat exchanger in China and even in the world. The success of its design and manufacturing is of great significance for the large-scale development of the device.

This equipment is part of Sinopec's "Ten pronged" localization technology project for the development and application of high-temperature large-scale gas heat exchangers. From contract signing in the project to manufacturing completion, industry leaders, experts, professors, designers, engineers, and others from Sinopec Material and Equipment Department, Sinopec Guangzhou Engineering Company, Sinopec Zhenhai Refining and Chemical Company, Dalian Dongfang Yipeng, Dalian University of Technology, and Nanjing Sanfang Chemical Equipment Supervision Company have held nine docking meetings, exchange meetings, seminars, and research and development meetings. Dongfang Yipeng always adheres to the concept of technological innovation and industry lean, striving for excellence in quality and scaling new heights in indicators. The design team, welding team, and pipe winding workshop team of the technical center are united and work in the same direction. Faced with many challenges such as the ultra long and overweight of the coiled tube heat exchanger, the special welding structure between the high-temperature end tube plate and the inner hole of the heat exchange tube, and the great difficulty of welding technology and winding, the chairman of the company, Xing Pengwan, personally took the lead and set an example, leading the engineering and technical personnel and operation team to unleash their intelligence, stimulate innovation vitality, and tenaciously strive to overcome difficulties. They constantly improve their processes, optimize their designs, and try every possible way to overcome difficulties. The device innovatively adopts small-diameter thick tube plate inner hole welding technology at the high temperature end, independently develops new anti-wear and anti vibration pads, and innovatively uses non-contact assembly technology for ultra large and overweight heat exchange tube bundles and shells. We have independently designed a super large thousand ton winding tube machine, an inner hole welding gas protection fixture, and a rapid pressure testing fixture for heat exchange tubes.
Dongfang Yipeng specializes in technical drawings, material procurement, tooling design, production organization, and shift manufacturing. A super large pipe winding clean workshop, where bright white steel pipes shuttle through the large pipe winding machine developed by Yipeng people, weaving into beautiful geometric shapes; The welding rod in the welder's hand emits a dazzling arc, and the welding flowers dance; The customized track carries the tooling independently developed by Yipeng people, and the superb craftsmanship fully embodies the "craftsman spirit" of Yipeng people.

Dongfang Yipeng will complete the manufacturing process from the date of signing the contract on March 6, 2023 to August 20, 2024, almost two months ahead of schedule, successfully completing the first set of world-class ultra large winding tube heat exchanger manufacturing task for the development and localization of Sinopec's high-temperature large-scale gas heat exchanger project. Not only has it refreshed the equipment manufacturing capability of ultra large and efficient coiled tube heat exchangers in China, but it has also added new momentum to the vigorous development of China's petrochemical industry. The emergence of Sinopec's world-class ultra large coiled tube heat exchanger is like a dazzling new star rising in the sky of technology, illuminating the path of technological development.
